Purple Cabbage Slow Cooker Chicken Dinner

1 head purple cabbage
1 bell pepper sliced
1 onion sliced
1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 TBS garlic salt
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried oregano
1 Bay leaf
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Black pepper to taste
Directions
- Quarter and core the purple cabbage. Add to slow cooker.
- Slice the onion and bell pepper. Add to slow cooker.
- Add diced tomatoes and mushrooms.
- Mix seasonings together with the exception of the bay leaf.
- Add half of the seasonings to the slow cooker and use the remaining seasonings to both sides of your chicken breasts.
- Add chicken breasts to slow cooker and the bay leaf.
- Cook on low for 6 hours.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables to the slow cooker – I added some fresh chopped tomatoes.
